The Stone Family
The Stone Family at Como Lake, Ouray, Colorado
As the oldest of the three Stone brothers, Jeff was also the guinea pig of the family. His dad encouraged him to start a business but Jeff made it work. With the help of father and brothers, Jeff started the company while still in high school. As Navy Island's President, Jeff oversees business strategy and directs new product development.
Jeff and his wife Kathy were married in 1989 and have three girls and one boy. They currently live in Woodbury. Besides watching panels come out of the press, Jeff's favorite past times are family vacations, golfing, windsurfing and downhill skiing.
Chad grew up on a steady diet of Tinker Toys, Erector sets, and the ubiquitous LEGO Blocks.
Professionally, Chad still plays with the same toys but now they have to be bolted, welded and programmed... or ignited.
He married Sarah, a teacher by trade. They have 2 boys and 2 girls whom Sarah enjoys educating at home. They live on the edge of the city with a few acres, some goats, some chickens and lots of activity from dawn 'til dusk. Their "happy places" are in the mountains either skiing or Jeeping, or on the beach in winter. Chad gets his inspiration while strolling placidly through his machinery junk yard.
As the youngest of the three Stone brothers, Ben decided at an early age not to succumb to the temptations of the woodworking industry, but rather pursue a career of high repute. For several years he sold ski equipment and computers. After graduating from high school, he worked for an advertising company in Minneapolis in addition to attending college classes in graphic design.
At the age of 19, Ben decided to temporarily work along-side his brothers at Navy Island for just one month, simply to earn extra money for an upcoming trip. That was several years ago.
